Quick answer: The commission table isn’t one global number, each Amazon marketplace runs its own Standard Commission Income Statement. Pulled live from Amazon’s own pages today: the US, UK, and Canada tables differ by category, sometimes by a lot, luxury beauty pays 10 percent in the US and Canada but only 6 percent in the UK, for example. And the video-upload Influencer Program itself, not just Associates links, is only live in four countries: US, UK, Canada, and India.
Why the table isn’t the same everywhere
Each Amazon marketplace, amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.ca, and so on, runs its own separate Associates or Influencer Program agreement with its own Standard Commission Income Statement. They aren’t copies of the US table translated into local currency, the category groupings and the percentages themselves are set independently per marketplace. And as covered in our international expansion guide, the video upload mechanism that most Amazon Influencers actually use, not the plain Associates link, is currently live in only four countries: US, UK, Canada, and India. Everywhere else runs Associates links only, a separate, generally lower-yield mechanism.
United States: the table (verified live today)
Pulled directly from Amazon’s own Standard Commission Income Statement at affiliate-program.amazon.com this week, not from a third-party summary:
| Category | Rate |
|---|---|
| Luxury Beauty, Luxury Stores Beauty, Amazon Explore | 10.00% |
| Digital Music, Physical Music, Handmade, Digital Videos | 5.00% |
| Physical Books, Kitchen, Automotive | 4.50% |
| Apparel, Jewelry, Watches, Luggage, Shoes and Handbags, Luxury Stores Fashion, plus all other categories | 4.00% |
| Toys, Furniture, Home, Home Improvement, Lawn and Garden, Beauty, Sports, Baby Products | 3.00% |
| PC and PC Components, DVD and Blu-Ray | 2.50% |
| Televisions, Digital Video Games | 2.00% |
| Amazon Fresh, Physical Video Games and Consoles, Grocery, Health and Personal Care | 1.00% |
| Gift Cards, Wireless Plans, Alcoholic Beverages, Vehicles, Coach | 0.00% |
Worth repeating here since the wrong version keeps circulating: Amazon’s own table has no separate “Games” row at 20 percent and no Haul percentage row, those two figures came from a third-party blog, not Amazon, and we corrected them across our own channels after checking Amazon’s page directly. Full detail in our commission rate breakdown.

India: what we could confirm, and what we could not
Honestly, less than we’d like. Amazon’s public rate-schedule link for amazon.in redirects to a login-gated Associates Central page, checked directly today, so there’s no publicly viewable Standard Commission Income Statement for India, unlike the US, UK, and Canada. Multiple third-party creator guides cite a blended average “up to roughly 5 percent” for India, but that’s an unverified figure we could not check against Amazon’s own page, and given that a different third-party number (the wrong “Games 20 percent” figure) already turned out to be false on the US table, we aren’t repeating an unverified India number as fact here. If you’re in India’s Influencer Program, your real table is inside your own Associates Central account, that’s the only place to trust it.
What actually changes, and what doesn’t
The differences are real and category-specific, not a blanket “everything pays less outside the US” story. Luxury beauty is a good example of how much this varies: 10 percent in the US, 10 percent in Canada, but only 6 percent in the UK. Furniture and home goods actually pay more outside the US, 5 percent in the UK and 6 percent in Canada against 3 percent in the US. Grocery and gift cards sit near zero everywhere. The category, not the country, is still what decides most of your rate, but which category bucket a product falls into does shift by marketplace.
What this means if you’re expanding internationally
If you’re weighing whether to translate and re-upload your existing videos to a second marketplace, check the category table for that specific marketplace before assuming your US rate carries over, in some categories it’s a real upgrade, in others a real cut. Our full walkthrough of which countries actually let you upload video (versus link-only Associates) and how to apply to each is in the international expansion guide.
