My Amazon Influencer videos kept getting rejected for the same reason: personal information visible on screen. A shipping label here, an order page there. Each rejection cost me a resubmit cycle and sometimes a full re-shoot. And even when a video passed, editing it down from eight fumbled takes took me an hour, minimum.
So I spent my days off building the tool I wished existed. Today it’s live. It’s called ReviewCut, and this post is the honest version of what it does, what it doesn’t, and why I made it.
Quick answer: ReviewCut is a desktop app that takes your raw, multi-take Amazon review footage and hands back one finished, upload-ready video, dead air and filler cut, best take picked, FTC disclosure burned in, personal information blurred. First finished review each month is free, no card. After that it’s $19/mo or $190/yr for Creator (unlimited cuts, 10 rejection proof scans a month), or $49/mo or $490/yr for Pro (40 scans, 30 revisions a month).
What ReviewCut actually does
You drop your raw, messy review takes into a desktop app. It picks your best take, cuts the dead air and the ums, writes your captions, burns in the FTC disclosure, and blurs the personal info that triggers Amazon’s “personal information is visible” rejection. What comes out is one finished, upload ready review video. On my footage it takes about two minutes.
Here’s the 30 second version, made from my real Shark vacuum review, fumbled takes and all:
Why I built it
Because the editing was the bottleneck of my whole Amazon Influencer workflow. Not the filming, not the products. The hour per video of trimming takes and the rejection roulette afterward. Here’s me explaining it straight to camera, unpolished:
What it costs, honestly
Your first finished review each month is free. No card. You put your email in on the page and your license key appears right there. If you want it unlimited, Creator is $19 a month or $190 a year, with 10 rejection proof scans and 10 revisions a month built in. Pro is $49 a month or $490 a year, for 40 scans and 30 revisions if you’re filming a lot more.
What it doesn’t do
It won’t turn bad footage into good footage. If your lighting is rough or you never say a usable take, it can’t invent one. It picks your best material and finishes it. It also runs on Windows and Apple silicon Macs, not in the browser, because rendering locally keeps it fast and keeps your footage on your machine.

Try it
It’s at milesinsights.com/reviewcut. If you try it and something feels off, use the contact link on that page and tell me directly. I built this for my own reviews first and I fix things fast.
Frequently asked questions
Does ReviewCut work if I only have one clean take, not multiple messy ones?
Yes. It still runs the same PII blur and FTC disclosure burn-in pass on a single take, you just won’t get much benefit from the best-take-selection part since there’s nothing to choose between. Most of the value for a one-take creator is the rejection-proofing, not the editing.
Does my footage leave my computer when I use ReviewCut?
No. It renders locally on your machine (Windows or Apple silicon Mac), that’s the specific reason it’s a desktop app instead of a browser tool. Your raw footage stays on your own computer through the whole process.
What happens if I use up my free scans or revisions for the month?
You can upgrade to Creator ($19/mo or $190/yr, 10 rejection-proof scans and 10 revisions a month) or Pro ($49/mo or $490/yr, 40 scans and 30 revisions), or wait for the next month’s free review to reset. There’s no pay-per-use option beyond the two plans right now.
